Since we have been having just beautiful weather we headed out to the zoo! This is our first trip this summer, as it has just been way too HOT!! We are zoo members and in the past have frequented as often as once a week, weather permitting of course! We got up and around early, met up with our friends the Riechmann's and headed out to the STL Zoo. The zoo was tremendously busy, due to, I imagine, the awesome weather and the impending holiday...But we still had a lot of fun! We love to visit the zoo!

In the Children's Zoo, Jack showed Liv how to see the Prairie Dogs in the tunnel!

Look at my cute little "otters"!

Olivia is as tall as a Koala bear! She is cuter than one though!!

Jackson just couldn't stand still... He was close to the Pygmy Goat!

My brave boy brushed the fur of a goat in the goat yard.

Jack and Braden in the Sting Ray Cove! The zoo has a Sting Ray exhibit this year that is new! We were able to put our hands into the water and feel the Sting Rays as they swam by.

Everyone reaching and watching the Sting Rays swim!

Jack was obsessed with his zoo map! He spent a lot of time checking to see where we were and where we were headed! At one point he was so intently reading his map he walked into someones chair...He was very upset, mostly, I think, because he was embarrassed :)

Riding the Conservation Carousel is one thing we definitely look forward to on each trip to the zoo. Jack loves to choose his animal and Liv just loves to ride on the Carousel! They were both very excited!

Jack picked the Tiger to ride and Liv picked (whatever was next to Jack...) the Okapi, but of course she called it a "horse".
We also rode the Zoo Line railroad, which is another fave of ours!! We has wonderful day at the zoo, and can't wait to visit again!!
