Winery Weekend--Best Friend Anniversary :)

When you have three little ones at home it is nearly impossible to plan an over night get away...  So this summer we began planning this September Winery get away.  While we really needed no reason other than just wanting to get away with friends to relax, it also happened to be the 9th anniversary of Bethany and I beginning our friendship together!  Who needs a better reason than that?  We definitely have a friendship that is something to celebrate!

We began our weekend by dropping our kids off for some fun of their own with Grandma and Grandpa on Friday night.  We then headed out to eat at one of our favorite restaurants, Chevy's!!  Yum!

We were up early on Saturday and head to wine country, in Herman, Mo.  Along the way to the wineries we stopped for some breakfast and a quick shopping run.  We made it to our first and our favorite winery just before noon.  At Adam Pucta we tasted and then made our largest purchases, told you it was our fave!  We continued on to another winery and sampled a little more, we also had some lunch and a bottle of what the sales person called "liquid sunshine".  She was right it was delightful-- as was the company and the amazing weather!  We then headed on to our b-n-b; Up, Up and Away.  It was a beautiful place and we hope to visit again!  After getting all settled in we visited a brewery, a few more wineries, a couple of local establishments and ate at a yummy wing place.  What an amazing day!  After all of the sights and fun, we headed back to our b-n-b and took advantage of the awesome patio and enjoyed the company and another bottle of wine.  We had a great day and then had to call it a night!  We awoke to a wonderful breakfast and headed off to St. George for church.  We were able to listen to a wonderful, dynamic priest that left us uplifted and ready for our trip home to see our babies!

We had a great time and are looking forward to next year--- Might make this an annual thing :)
