Well our first week was, of course, very busy!! It began with Liv being sick... She ended up being sick the majority of the week. So we spent a lot of time taking care of our fussy girl! We also had a very rainy week.... Which was a bummer for Jackson who has had very big plans for the summer.
Randy had a very good friend pass away, and we attended his funeral this week. Randy's friend Kevin, who was in our wedding and was from Mascoutah, passed away a little over a week ago. This was very sad, and Randy made some time to spend with his friends from home. On the day of the funeral, Uncle Cody took care of the kids all day for us. That was a big help and the kids had fun!
On Thursday, we met up with Aunt Liz and the boys to see a movie. We went out to Fairview Heights and saw Madagascar 2. This is not a new movie, but it is part of the free summer movies offered by the local theaters. We had popcorn and fun sitting in the theater to see a movie! We enjoy getting to see Aunt Liz and the boys and hope to see more of them this summer!
At the end of the week we had plans to go to the pool, but it turned out to be a little too cold... So instead we headed out the Drost Park in Maryville. We played with Braden, Kendall, Alayna, Luke and Logan for a little while! We are hoping for better weather coming up so we can get out to the pool and the zoo!
