Our big girl is officially 5 weeks old! It is amazing how fast the time is going... Since Emilia had some trouble putting on weight in the beginning, we had been making trips to the doctor every week. At her three week weight check she had put on almost a pound in a week! Since she was doing so well packing on the pounds, the doctor post-poned her one month check-up until today at five weeks. So here are some one month facts/stats on our beautiful baby girl,
Emilia Kathryn
* Now staying awake for longer stretches at a time.
*Still nursing, with formula supplements. Our Doctors words "She gets the good stuff from mom and the calories from Similac." So its like her own little bit of creatin.
*Emilia is an amazing sleeper!! At five weeks she is sleeping around 7-8 hours at night.
*Emilia loves bath time and being rocked!
*Big brother and Big sister just can't get enough of her! They are literally "in her face" all day long. While she doesn't seem to mind, I would like them to back off a bit :)
*True to form she has lots of nicknames (just like our other children). Daddy calls her "Emmy", Jack and Liv call her "Milly" (it is cute the way they say it though...), I like to call her Emilia---go figure!
*She is smiling at us, but we know that could be gas :)
*Emilia is a big girl. Her weight is 9 pounds 2 ounces, and her height is 22 inches. She is right about average for her weight and just a little on the "tall" side for her height! Funny thing Emilia's size now is what big brother Jack was born at!!
