Kids on Guard 2011

Last week Jackson was able to attend Kids on Guard at Scott Air Force Base.  This is a neat program for kids held at the air force base.  They were able to tour the plane (not new for my kiddos), learn about gun safety, learn about rescue techniques, tour many different rescue vehicles, shadow different career fields, tour areas in the units, plant a tree and so much more!  Randy volunteered to run a group so that he could share this day with Jackson!  Jackson had an awesome day, probably his "best day ever".  He loves the AFB and being part of the military.  His favorite things from the day included gun safety, the free things he got to bring home and getting his own "ID" card complete with the rank of Captain that he inherited from his daddy!  Randy did awesome and took a TON of pictures!!
Super excited!
The Captains Rodgers
Jack and his buddy Wyatt
Gas mask training, Daddy's least favorite thing ever, but Jack didn't mind!
After gun safety, they got to hold a bunch of different (not loaded) guns.
Learning about rescues...
Thats our little solider
A Proud Military Son!
