The Glen Carbon Library holds a wonderful summer reading program. Jack and Livy both are able to participate and earn prizes for their summer reading. There are also lots of different events and story times available. We try to hit the library up at often as we can in the summer. We check out all different kinds of fun books to read together. The reading program theme the year was "A Midsummer Knights Dream". The library celebrated reading in a big, magical way. At the wrap up the kids ate ice cream and got a treat bag, and reading was praised and encouraged. Last week, as it was still so HOT, we went to a wizard story time that was complete with songs, stories, crafts, and snacks. We are thankful for such a great children's program at the library!
Proud of their reading!
Sure she looks happy...but just when the story is quite she'll let out a squeal!
