Well, since it is back to school time the sickies are inevitable to avoid... And, of course, our Milli is the first to bring the house down! She did so in a big way... Milli came down with a fever of 101 on the second Wednesday of school. After a trip to the doctor, we were told to wait it out, as it was just a virus. YUCK, my least favorite diagnosis! We kept our sweet home and snuggled and loved on her. By Thursday night her fever reached a scary 105! We were able to bring it down to 102-103 on our own and Milli finished out her week at home. By Saturday she was still running a high fever of around 103, so we called the doctor again... They prescribed some meds this time--which we did not pick up. Why, you say, well her fever abruptly broke and by Sunday Milli was covered in a lovely rash all over her body, from her forehead to her trunk. So I "GOOGLE"d her symptoms and called the doctor (AGAIN) and she was diagnosed with Roseola. Since it looked like Milli was finally on the up and up, we thought we were in the clear, but Liv came down with a fever of 101 Sunday night. When it rains it pours... Liv and Milli spent the day home with Daddy and got more rest. Liv must have had a phantom fever, because it was gone as quickly as it came and she seemed just fine. Milli was still a bit under the weather, so home she stayed. All in all Milli was a sicky for more than a week! Our poor baby, and just when I thought we were out of the woods her persistent runny nose and cough turned into an ear infection. YUCK again! Here is hoping for good health in our house!
