This year we received the most wonderful opportunity to go on vacation to Panama City Beach Florida with Grandma Jo and Grandpa Mark. We got to stay in Grandpa Mark's parents condo right on the beach! All we had to do was get ourselves there... Easier said than done you say, well not really-- we had a wonderful adventure and the most amazing vacation! We began our trip with the idea that we would take it slow and make only part of the trip on the first day. We did just that and it worked out just fine. We did learn some valuable lessons, such as Milli does not sleep in the car very well, or in a hotel very well...All just made for more memories. On the way to Florida we stopped in Metropolis to visit Superman, and we stopped in Nashville for dinner. We ended up in Birmingham, Alabama for the night before we completed our trek. Ever the avid shutter-bug I captured EVERY moment of our trip!
Everyone is set and ready to go!
Let's get this show on the road! We are so excited.
About 2.5 hours in to our trip we made our first stop, as it was time to feed the baby! Our first stop was in Metropolis, Illinois. This is the adoptive home of Superman, and boasts the worlds largest Superman statue and a Superman museum.
We stopped in to Dippin' Dots for a snack and then got on the road again!
Our next stop was at dinner time. We stopped in Nashville, Tennessee and ate at Jack's BBQ. We also walked down the strip with the kids and listened to all of the live music coming from everywhere! Jack and Liv loved it! We all really enjoy our country music. We also picked up a few souvenir cowboy hats to take with us!
Well.... I don't think these were me.
Back on the road miss Mills took a "cat" nap and we kept on moving forward!
12 hours after our departure from Glen Carbon we made it to Birmingham, Alabama to stay over night. The kids were a little wound up from our travels so we let them jump on the beds for a minute.
Once we were up and moving the next morning, we hit it again to make our way to sunny FLORIDA!!
