YES, you read right! Our sweet Milli has finally started walking! We had been to the pediatrician, physical therapy every week, the orthopedic specialist, had x-rays, and were planning a neurologist visit all to get to the bottom of our late, little walker. We had left our last appointment planning to have Milli evaluated for Cerebral Palsy. She wasn't demonstrating any symptoms except for her "significant developmental delay" in gross motor activities (mainly walking). So we were all set up to have the neuro appointment in June... Lo and behold little missy decided to get up and go!! On March 28, 2012 at her physical therapy session Milli got up and stood for 5 minutes straight and took 6-10 steps. That was just the beginning. Milli took it slow and only really took steps at her pt for a couple of weeks, but by the time I took this picture she was "off and running"! So at 21.5 months old our sweet, baby girl is a walker!! Since she has made such excellent progress, tonight will be her last session of pt and we have been advised that it is not necessary to see the neurologist. We could not be happier! I guess she was just waiting til she was ready!
