Past Due

My brother Cody is in the Air National Guard and has recently left for a 120 day tour in Iraq. Before he left we were able to get the majority of the family (only minus Randy:( ) together for a big bash. Cody will miss every major holiday this year so we wanted to celebrate with him and let him know how very proud we are of him. He is filling a space for another unit so he essentially left here and traveled over to the desert alone... He made it into Iraq early last week and I have been able to talk with him on the phone once and have emailed twice!! He is doing well, but says it is very hot and the wind/sand are out of hand. He is doing well and I will keep everyone updated. The picture here is from the airport right before he left.The STL airport was very accommodating and allowed all of our family and 2 of Cody's close friends to go through security and to his gate! We all (but mostly my mom and Hanna) really appreciated it! Please keep my brother, Senior Airman Cody Carlson in your prayers.
