We spent the day of Christmas Eve cleaning up, wrapping presents and waiting for family to arrive. It was a low key day and we enjoyed every second of it! We got all dressed up and ready for church in the afternoon. We were glad that our family had made it in in time so they could snap a Christmas Eve family pictures for us. We headed over to our church an hour before the service to ensure that we had a good seat. We had a great place to sit and our kids did an amazing job considering we were at church for 2 and a half hours! One of my favorite things from our Christmas Eve service is Father Joe's homily. Each year for the homily he invites all of the children to sit around the alter and he reads them a story. Each year the story is of the first Christmas, but he chooses a different book. He even commented this year that now that he has been at St. Cecilia's for seven years it is getting harder to find new great story's to share. Needless to say he never disappoints, and I think it is the most amazing way to share the Christmas story with the children and the congregation! It was a beautiful service and we enjoyed every minute!
The kids then were ready to get home and prepare for the other magic of Christmas to begin!

Sweet and sassy Liv
Did I mention Sassy?
This guy gets that if you do it right the first time, there only has to be a first time...
Our smart, big boy Jackson!
A picture of the three of them was not happening this year... Oh well I'll try again in a year!
These two posed it up for me, though!
